Farm Design

You have reached the Farm Design Section on my blog MyOneAcreFarm. I will compile here important articles and videos I see on the Internet for my own learning and future reference. Feel free to browse over and click on those that interest you!

Farm Selection – In selecting the right location for your farm, you must consider crop suitability, land water availability, road network, hazards such as flooding, landslide and fault lines. Here are some of the tools I am using to research on the places for sale.

Farm Layout Design – I love designing houses and interiors. And now, maybe I will also enjoy designing farms.

Here’s one blog post that I love:

https://morningchores.com/farm-layout/

I love it not only because of the various designs the writer compiled but because he/she made a very important point that in in farms size does not matter! You can see here designs for 100m lots to several hectares and all of them are beautiful and functional.

Speaking of 1 acre farm designs, this one I especially like because it is very applicable and she mentioned goat raising which is one of the easy things I can do on my small farm.

Weed em’ and Reap! I love the name!

I found another website with small farm plans and designs.

Among the many articles in this website is this guide to beginner farmers which is essentially a detailed step-by-step guide in starting your small farm from scratch.
